great game

Although this is a solid game, I've encountered a bug where no bullets were going out of my gun. That happened after I shot a badguy after I was very close to him

Well this is a nice game, I like its concept. Though, the first level was a bit easy and repetitive, I couldn't get passed the second one. I mean, how the hell are we supposed to dodge those things? The gameplay could be a little bit improved; like giving us the ability to jump/crouch/etc.

Also, I've encountered a bug where a bad guy got close to me, but I killed him just before he got close enough to hatch me down. Right after, the body of my character fell on the ground as is he was dead, but his arm was still there, flying in the air and holding the gun. The game was still going.

Also, for the blood, I suggest you change it a little bit. It's a little bit plain. If I were you, I would do some frame by frame blood that is "splashing" out of the body, with different tones of red. The random red shape with no shadows in it, that was gradually expanding and fading out was a bit weird and didn't look like blood much.

Anyway, this might be a great game, but I couldn't go through lvl 2. But again, the story and concept seems good!

I think a button that would make them play all one after another would be great. Besides that, it's nice and entertaining. I've been working on something that _slightly_ look like your game, and I'm almost done with it :)

Cake rocks. And your explosions were pretty damn well drawn. The game itself isn't the funniest flash game I've played though. But still, it's great!

FUN GAME

PEEEEERRRRFECT!
I always loved ninjas so this game is awesome to me. The controls are flawless, there are many attacks you can do which is really cool. Once you get the handle of it, you can start to kick some ass but it still doesn't get easy enough to get boring. The graphics are very good, and I love the backgrounds. The music could be a little bit more diversified though, but that's fine. The sounds are appropriate. The AI of the monsters is surprinsingly good. And I like the fact that although it's a linear game, you can choose your path (moving high above the ground, or staying on the ground). I didn't have the time to play more than 20minutes, but I bookmarked this and I will definitely play again. Seriously, good job, very good job. I hope this game hits rank #1!

This is probably the best flash game I've never played to. The only thing I'd like to be improved is a wider screen, so we could see the enemies coming.

I like it, and I'm amazed by the small size of the game. But I'd consider adding a few sounds even if it will increase the size.

nice game

I don't think he was trying to copy any specific game, this is just one genre of game. There are hundreds of spaceship games where you destroy stuff to collect powerups. Anyway, this one is very nice and smooth, well done!

You're right, I wasn't trying to make it an imitation of anything out there, mostly an homage to old-school side-scrolling shoot-em-ups...plus I always thought it was cool to fight oversize bosses at the end of levels.
